Fencing Camps

Beginner Fencing Camp

Beginner Fencing Camps are intended for those with little to no fencing experience. All camps include equipment rental. Campers will be taught the fundamentals of foil fencing: footwork, bladework, and tactics. Camps will focus on developing a passion for the sport while building friendships, learning new skills, and having plenty of fun. Each day will include games to improve coordination and fitness; basic fencing concepts; group instruction and drills; open bouting; and one-on-one coaching. Students will be introduced to competition with a tournament on the final day of class.

Intermediate Fencing Camp

Intermediate Fencing Camps are intended for those with prior fencing experience. Concentration on developing fencers for the 2019-20 competitive season. Each day will include fun games to advance coordination and basic fencing skills, footwork and bladework drills, open bouting, video review and discussion, as well as one-on-one coaching. Camp will conclude with a tournament.

Required: At least one electric foil, body cord, and lame. Uniforms, masks, gloves, and underarm protectors will be provided as needed.
